2009-10-16	All PsDO classes on Modays have been shifted by 10 minutes on request of some students. They will start at 13:05 (instead of 13:15) hence end 14:35. Also the PsDO course on Thu, Oct. 29 has been suspended.
2009-09-22	The Springer textbook Einführung in das mathematische Arbeiten (German; Introduction into Mathematical Methodology) by Hermann Schichl and R.S. is out! There is also a page containing additional material on the book. I have given a talk on the philosophy of the course and textbook Einführung in das mathematische Arbeiten at the ÖMG-DMV Kongress which was held, Sep. 20--25 at TU Graz. There is also little paper on the same topic together with Hermann Schichl which will appear in Mitteilungen der DMV (Notices of the German Mathematical Society).
2009-08	The International Conference of Generalized Functions GF2009 which is organized by Diana takes place at the Maths Faculty from August 31 to September 4.

Who I am and what I do

I am a mathematician and mathematical physicist at the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Vienna. I am a member of the research group DiANA (Differential Algebras and Nonlinear Analysis) in the analysis and geometry section of the department. My research interests include: algebras of generalized functions and their applications in geometry and mathematical physics mathematical general relativity nonlinear PDE/kinetic theory time frequency analysis/modulation spaces My teaching includes a variety of courses in several areas of mathematics reaching from general first-year-courses to specialized courses and seminars in analysis, PDE and geometry.
